MAKKAH: The Saudi Food and Drug Authority continues its intensive efforts, in preparation for the Hajj season, by implementing training programs and actively participating in joint simulations.
These initiatives are to enhance preparedness and ensure a rapid response to health incidents, safeguarding the health and safety of pilgrims.
The authority is playing an active role at the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Center at Mina Hospital to strengthen coordination among relevant government entities and support preventive measures.
The authority organized a workshop in Makkah titled “Food Poisoning.” The workshop provided training on rapid response mechanisms for suspected cases, emphasizing regulatory procedures, the importance of immediate reporting, and coordination between the relevant authorities.
The center is responsible for managing health crises and disasters during the Hajj season, serving as a hub for all related entities to enhance integration, readiness, and all efforts in handling health emergencies, reports, and risk management.
